Guthrie

M. Edward Guthrie, M.D.

Dr. Guthrie is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist that has been practicing in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area for the past 20 years. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at The Eye Foundation Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his pediatric ophthalmology fellowship with Dr. Kenneth Wright at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and CHLA in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Guthrie has placed special emphasis on ROP evaluation and treatment.




Pic.Amy Kloosterboer, M.D.

Dr. Amy Kloosterboer is a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, thorough eye care for children and their families. Originally from Argentina, she brings a warm, approachable style to her practice and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

She earned both her medical degree (MD) and a Master of Science in Genomic Medicine from the University of Miami, where she developed a strong foundation in personalized, genetics-informed medicine. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University and went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the nation's leading centers                                                                        for pediatric care.
Dr. Kloosterboer treats a wide range of pediatric eye conditions, including strabismus, amblyopia, and congenital eye disorders. She also has a special clinical interest in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and is committed to early detection and treatment of vision issues in premature infants.
Her goal is to make every visit as comfortable and supportive as possible for both children and their families.

Lee S. Friedman, M.D.

Dr. Lee S. Friedman specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology, ROP, and Pediatric & Adult Strabismus.  A board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained pediatric/strabismus specialist eye doctor, Dr. Friedman has been diagnosing, treating, and operating on children and adults for more than thirty years.
Originally from Miami Beach, Dr. Lee Friedman earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He completed his internship and his residency at Tampa General Hospital, an affiliation of the University of South Florida, and his fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Dr. Friedman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Well-known and respected among his peers for his work in general, Dr. Friedman also has an excellent reputation for treating the most complicated cases in newborns and young children. Over time, he has watched many of his patients mature from children into young adults, and he takes great pleasure in seeing the rewards of his work from earlier years.
Dr. Friedman belongs to various professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, AAPOS, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Florida Medical Association. He has published several articles on night blindness and myopia.
Dr. Lee Friedman enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
